New developments unfold in the case of the anti-Semitic employee of the food courier company Deliveroo. A few days ago, one of their employees refused to deliver food from two kosher restaurants in Strasbourg, saying he would not be serving Jews.

Since then it has come to light that the food runner in question is Algerian national Dhia Eddine D. He was arrested a few days after the incident, and the police found that there were problems with his documents. French Representative Meyer Habib went on Twitter to demand immediate action in the matter.

Journalist Tugdual Denis also commented on the incident, saying that according to information he had, the food runner will be expelled from France.

The incident provoked general outrage across the country and received extensive media coverage. The two restaurants in question have filed a complaint with the police against the food runner and the delivery company.

Deliveroo was quick to react to the incident and launched an internal investigation. If evidence is found that the food runner has indeed made anti-Semitic remarks, he will be immediately dismissed. The company stressed that they strongly condemned and rejected all such acts.

Marlene Schiappa, the French minister in charge of citizenship, has summoned the head of Deliveroo to her office, saying that anti-Semitism is unacceptable and joint action should be taken against it.
