Poland is at the forefront of Europe in terms of how many people have received the jab, the spokesman for Polish President Andrzej Duda said. He stressed that the president will be inoculated when it s his turn, warning people not to have themselves vaccinated out of turn.

„Today, more than 200,000 people were vaccinated, making us the third or fourth in the EU,” Polish presidential spokesman Blazej Spychalski said. He stressed that President Andrzej Duda was generally pleased with the fact that more and more people are being inoculated, adding however that the success of the programme largely depends on the number of vaccines available, which is something people must understand.

Responding to a question on whether President Duda will receive the vaccine out of turn, Spychalski pointed out that the National Vaccine Programme was construed in a straightforward and logical manner, providing a clear time schedule for the ionoculation of the various age groups, which will also be respetced by the president.

„We cannot accept that some, rather cunningly, have themselves vaccinated out of turn. This is irresponsible behaviour,” the spokesman stressed.
