Why is the European Commission President still defending her unsuitable Health Commissioner, who has become entangled in dubious affairs?

Not only has Stella Kyriakides entered into contracts that have put EU citizens at a disadvantage in terms of access to vaccines, but it later emerged that 4 million euros had landed on her account under unclear circumstances. It was also revealed that she had been the president of an organisation which received tens of thousands of euros over the years from large vaccine manufacturers.  Nevertheless, the health commissioner continues to enjoy the unyielding confidence of EC President Ursula von der Leyen, who even refuses to acknowledge facts.

V4NA wrote to the European Commission, the EU s Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), the Court of Auditors of Cyprus and the Public Prosecutor s Office of Cyprus requesting information on ongoing investigations into the 4 million euros, which appeared from dubious sources on Stella Kyriakides s family account.

V4NA also inquired how the European Union s vaccine policy was influenced by the fact that Stella Kyrikiades, as president of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition, had been the leader of an organisation that received significant funding from pharmaceutical companies that now hold an interest in vaccine procurements.
