Man attempts rape in New York City s elite neighbourhood in broad daylight

A recent incident reveals how crime is spiralling out of control in New York City. A man pushed a woman to the ground and tried to rape her at an underground station a short while ago. Many people are packing their bags in New York City to leave it for good, just like in Chicago.

A shocking incident occurred in the elite Upper East Side in New York City on Saturday. At an underground station, a man suddenly pushed a woman to the ground and tried to rape her. The assault was captured on video.

Bystanders witnessing the attack did not intervene physically, but only warned the man to stop in words. The man eventually climbed off the woman and left the scene. The footage recorded of the assault shows one bystander who simply watched what was happening.

Just note that the horrendous act took place in Upper East Side,  one of the high-profile neighbourhoods in New York City. However, it is not entirely surprising, with the number of crimes committed in the metropolis mounting amidst the spread of coronavirus and riots.

Crime has begun to spiral out of control in elite neighbourhoods. The general picture unfolding in the neighbouring Upper West Side is also ghastly. Families are fleeing from the area as public security is dramatically deteriorating while Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio fails to do anything about the conditions.

Several mothers have told the New York Post about the increasingly squalid conditions their children witness in the streets day after day. Not every family can afford to move, but families who can are departing the Upper West Side. There are homeless people lying on the streets of the district, some masturbate in broad daylight, and on top of it all, convicted pedophiles have been housed in a hotel near a school playground.

A similarly apocalyptic situation is unfolding in the city centre Chicago. Many residents want to flee the city, which has recently seen violent, extremist demonstrations and acts of looting. Chicago Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot, however, seems to do nothing to stop the mayhem.

Many blame her for the situation. Local resident Charlie Ragusa said: „Her job is to protect me and protect the city. And I just don t see that she s doing it. I can t go out at nighttime anymore. I m afraid to. That s not normal.”

A nurse told Chicago Tribune that she had never had to think about her own safety in this way before. Many people share her opinion: numerous locals are trying to leave the city due to rising crime rates and riots.

Real estate brokers confirm the trend. Rafael Murillo says people are moving to the suburbs quicker than planned; they are spending more and more time in their homes because of the pandemic, and want to be in an environment suitable for that.

The high-rises in central Chicago do not appear to be that environment. According to the published recordings, the demonstrations often end in violence there. Shootings are an everyday phenomenon, with at least fifty people shot and ten killed in the clashes over the past weekend.
