How can we make Europe socially safe? This is the question, and the Hungarian answer is that by providing all European citizens with an access to a jab, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in a video uploaded to social media about the EU summit in Porto.

„If there is no vaccination people will contract the disease amidst the pandemic, they will lose their jobs and be unable to provide for their families. Therefore, it s a key issue in Europe s social situation that all European citizens are guaranteed to have access to a vaccine,” Viktor Orban said.  

He emphasized that „we have experience to share. Hungary has almost completely returned to normal life,” adding that „holders of vaccination certificates now have access to nearly all the services and have regained their freedom,” whereas this is not the case in many European countries.

„I will suggest that we adopt all jabs proven effective and safe throughout Europe and speed up the vaccination drive,” Viktor Orban said.

„Vaccination has saved lives, Europe s safety depends on people being inoculated,” the Hungarian prime minister concluded.
