The Hungarian premier explained that in case the pandemic turns worst, hospitals have more than ten thousand free beds, ventilators are „okay,” and there is almost unlimited access to hospital capacities.

No Hungarian person will be left untreated if they catch the coronavirus, the prime minister said.

Mr Orban also mentioned that several decisions had been prepared with the Operative Group for the next government meeting.

„We would like to make people follow those very few rules imposed on wearing face masks, using public transport and entering stores. We respectfully ask people to abide by these rules, however, if they do not, we now have to impose sanctions on them,” he said.

Regarding education, he noted that the majority of schools can operate as „more or less” usual, so far 3 schools and 16 kindergartens have had to be closed down. Also he announced that from 1 October, measuring body temperature before entry will be mandatory in educational institutions.

Mr Orban also said that coronavirus tests were going to be ministry priced, while voluntary flu vaccines would be free.

At the end of his video, the prime minister added that he would also attend a meeting of the economic cabinet, „because one goal of the defence is to save human lives and the other is to protect Hungary s viability. The virus cannot paralyse us again.”
