PM Orban: we have to prepare for watershed European elections

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is also president of the majority ruling party Fidesz, received Belgian Flemish Interest Party President Tom Van Grieken, a speaker at the CPAC Hungary conference in Budapest, the PM's Press Chief Bertalan Havasi told Hungary's state news agency.

The meeting was also attended by Kinga Gal, vice president of Fidesz and Balazs Orban, the prime minister’s political director. At the meeting, the participants stated that

the conservative parties of Europe must come together to defend the traditional European way of life, which is based on nations, families, faith and work.

Viktor Orban reiterated his position which he had talked about at CPAC Hungary: the next two years must be spent acting together and in an organised manner in preparation for the European elections in 2024, when the European institutions must be taken back from the left.
