Scandalous Netflix film to face criminal investigation for child porn

Netflix s new release, a movie featuring little girls, has received a massive backlash for depicting the girls in compromising positions. The film has triggered general outcry and led to a cancel Netflix initiative. A state representative has recently called on the Attorney General s Office to launch an investigation regerading the movie for possible violations of child exploitation and child pornography laws.

The movie called Cuties, which received a lot of criticism even before its release, is now available on Netflix. Many were outraged at the film s ad campaign, which portrayed 11-year-old girls in compromising positions, leading many to presume that the movie promotes paedophilia.

According to the story, a little Muslim girl becomes fascinated with a twerking dance crew that engages in sensual dance. Many think the film sexualizes children, who can often be seen striking scandalous poses.

Ever since the film was released on Netflix, the wave of backlash has just increased, and the #CancelNetflix hashtag has begun to spread on social media. Following the film s release, around 600,000 people signed a petition pledging to cancel their Netflix subscription because of Cuties. One of the signatories also mentioned that it is not the only movie on Netflix that is sexualizing children.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Maimouna Doucoure is trying to defend her work. She argues that she wanted Cuties to be a mirror of society in order to highlight certain problems.  Netflix s spokesperson stressed that if people deem it important to protect young girls from pressure they face on social media, then they should definitely watch the movie.

The fact that many have voiced their outrage over the film on social media has left CNN eerily unperturbed. The channel interviewed Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings on Thursday without even touching on any of the criticisms the film Cuties or Netflix had received. Instead, reporter Poppy Harlow congratulated Netflix on offering a wide variety of content.

Texans, however, didn t exactly feel the same way about the movie. Convinced that the film Cuties violates national laws on child pornography and child exploitation, Republican representative Matt Schaefer has turned to the attorney general s office to launch an investigation into the movie.

That said, viewers haven t simply been outraged by the film s scandalous and compromising content. Summit News has spotted the Communist hammer and sickle symbol in one of the scenes in the background, prompting questions about the type of message the filmmakers intend to convey.
