A white person suffering hostilities and becoming the victim of racial discrimination makes no headline news these days, althouth this is precisely what happened to a college employee, who eventually decided to quit her job. In the meantime, the chanting of slogans about fighting racism have become louder and many plan to go on toppling statues, as if that would make a difference.

Racial hostility towards white people eventually forced an employee at Smith College in Massachusetts to quit her job. Jodi Shaw reported several examples of her experience in the hostile racial environment.

She recalled that she had been exposed to racial animus and hate directed towards her because of her white skin colour multiple times, which she had to tolerate in the spirit of anti-racism ideology. She recalls having endured meetings where a staff member violently banged his fist on the table, chanting Rich, white women! Rich, white women! . Jodi was also given supplemental literature in which the world s population was reduced to two categories – dominant group members and subordinated group members.

Last year she attended a retreat with her colleagues, focusing on racial issues. During the retreat she declined to talk about her race, saying that the entire discussion made her feel uncomfortable. Later, the facilitators told everyone present that a white person s discomfort at discussing their race is a symptom of white fragility . They said that the white person may seem like they are in distress, but that it is actually a power play . Her genuine discomfort was framed as an act of aggression, making Jodi feel humiliated in front of all her colleagues.

In her resignation letter, Jodi Shaw also wrote that all the complaints she raised just added fuel to the fire and were ignored by  a progressive administration appeasing a new woke cultural orthodoxy. „What passes for progressive today at Smith and at so many other institutions is regressive,” Jodi pointed out. 

Elsewhere, efforts are under way to fight racism against black people by removing statues. In Chicago, 41 scuptures are in danger, including those of four presidents. The city leadership has compiled a list of the controversial statues. According to them, „the monument cleanse is part of a „racial healing and historical reckoning project”.

Students at Baylor University also want to remove a statue, namely the statue of the institution s founder and namesake, Judge JEB Baylor, because he owned slaves and supported the confederation. „Once we remove that from campus, then we can start removing the rest of the stuff off the campus that makes us feel uncomfortable,” students say.

The leftist ideology is being spread not just in universities,  but also among little ones, whose indoctrination appears to be ongoing. The popular children s channel, Cartoon network recently sought to teach gender pronouns to kids. The channel has now issued a public service announcement asking children not to be colour blind but to see colour and to be anti-racist.

The characters in the ad first sing about how it doesn t matter what colour people are, but then the song stops, and the characters start talking about how colours really matter. For example, the white character, pointing at its black companion, says that colour does make a difference, because the two of them are treated very much differently.

Disney has decided to put „offensive content” alerts on episodes of The Muppet Show and the Disney+ streaming service greets its viewers with the disclaimer: „This programme includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than removing this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”
