Soros s son is alarmed

Alexander Soros, the son of the US stock market speculator George Soros, commented on the rioting on Capitol Hill in a lengthy post on Twitter. Back in time a bit, however, he failed to criticise the radical left s violent rallies.

Alexander Soros, the son of George Soros, shared his opinion on the incident at Capitol Hill in a seven-tweet thread. The events unfolding after a group of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building claimed four lives.

Soros Jr. described the events as appalling and nothing less than a terrorist assault on democracy and on the peaceful transfer of power. He called on „all leaders of conscience to condemn the chaos”.

We will redouble our efforts to ensure that the values we work to advance every day survive this siege, and emerge stronger for this ordeal,” Alexander Soros wrote.

Answering the call of the young heir of Soros s empire, many of the family s allies in Europe began posting various statements to be shared by Soros Jr. on his site. The comments Alexander Soros retweeted on his social media include posts by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and EU High Representative Josep Borrell, among others.

George Soros and his family have an excellent relationship with both politicians.

George Soros s son didn t hold back and even retweeted a misleading entry. He shared a comment posted by Patrick Gaspard, who recently stepped down as the president of Soros s Open Society Foundations. In light of the rioting, Gaspard wanted to recall that „peaceful Black Lives Matter protestors were tear gassed near the White House so that Trump could have his bible toting photo op”.

However, the statement is far from being true, because of a number of reasons. During the incident, the authorities used pepper spay and not tear gas, which was later incidentally admitted by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Gaspard also fails to make mention of the fact that Trump appeared with a Bible in his hand in front of a church set ablaze by violent protesters the day before.

With regard to the „peaceful protesters” mentioned by Gaspard, suffice to say that according to former Attorney General William Barr, 150 law enforcement officers were injured during that demonstration.

In the three months after George Floyd s death in May, there were 570 violent demonstrations at 220 locations in the US.

Alexander Soros appeared somewhat less vehement in condemning these incidents, although he had a few feeble attempts. For instance he shared a video in which rapper-activist Killer Miller (Michael Santiago Render) says „it is not the time to burn down your own home,” but he never posted a seven-tweet thread about the violent actions of the radical left. Interestingly, Killer Mike spoke in a T-shirt labelled „kill your masters.”

He also tried to refute the news that his father s foundation is providing financial assistance to the demonstrators.

Yet, the machinery of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) clearly appears among the anti-police groups. In October 2016, an opinion piece entitled „Let s Reduce, Not Reform, Policing in America” was published on OSF s website.
