Hollywood actor Steven Seagal, the Russian foreign ministry-appointed special envoy for Russia-US humanitarian relations, officially joined the new party „A Just Russia – For Truth” on Saturday. The actor was presented with his party membership card at the party s session in the house of deputies.

 

According to RIA Novosti, Seagal will be working primarily on environmental issues within the social democratic-leaning party, but is banned from taking a position in the State Duma because of his valid US citizenship.
