V4 premiers to meet in preparation for European Council session
On Friday the prime ministers of the V4 bloc will discuss relations with Belarus and Russia and the issues of pandemic management in preparation for the next European Council meeting.
The government information centre in Poland has tweeted that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will receive his V4 counterparts in Lubin on Friday. The meeting will take place in preparation for the extraordinary European Council meeting to be held between 24-25 September, where the premiers will discuss their relations with Russia, issues related to the elections in Belarus and the joint management of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to another announcement, the prime ministers will make joint recommendations to the European Council regarding the issue of border barriers and finding the right balance between restrictive epidemiological measures and people s free movement.
The meeting will begin at 12:30 pm and is expected to conclude at 2 pm, at which point the premiers are expected to present the results at a joint press conference. The session is to be the second such preliminary meeting during Poland s V4 Presidency.
