Lestist-Liberal Groups Back Anti-Israel Protests

In recent months, several surprising incidents have come to light during these demonstrations. Many of the anti-Israel — and often anti-Semitic — rallies have been supported by lestist-liberal groups who appeared to have little idea of what they were endorsing. In Germany, some anti-Israel groups even attempted to impose gender segregation at the protests.

In Dusseldorf, pro-Palestinian activists preparing for what they describe as the “largest demonstration in Germany” are promoting travel to the event from Berlin in a rather unusual, shocking way. Several prominent Instagram accounts, including “Freedomaktivist” and “Palestinelobby,” each with tens of thousands of followers, have circulated details of the rally, with travel arrangements to transport protestrers to the site in gender-segregated buses.

To coordinate, organisers have created two WhatsApp groups, one for men and one for women, while stressing that

“women and men will sit separately — for a relaxed and peaceful journey,”

– as highligjted by The European Conservative news site.

Pro-Palestinian groups in Germany have previously attempted to enforce gender segregation at rallies. In 2023, women were forced to march at the rear of a protest and were kept apart from men. At another demonstration in May 2024, organized by the Islamist group Muslim Interaktiv, authorities prohibited segregation in advance.

The sote recalls that while the global Left continues to offer near-unconditional support for the Palestinian cause, it often remains silent on practices and behaviors that undermine European values of freedom, equality, and cultural life.

The irony is particularly sharp when it’s the ‘progressive feminist’ groups standing behind movements that openly marginalize women.

There are numerous contradictions around the anti-Israel, pro-Palestine protests

In recent months, a number of surprising and even shocking incidents have emerged at these demonstrations. Many of the anti-Israel, often openly anti-Semitic protests have been supported by liberal-left-wing groups who seem to have little understanding of what they are actually endorsing.

The most absurd scenes have played out when LGBTQ organizations came out in support of Muslim calls for Palestinian independence. Although it is well-known that Islam regards homosexuality as a sin, many thought it a good idea to show up at pro-Palestinian rallies waving rainbow flags.

In one case in New York, protesters even combined the Palestinian flag with the rainbow Pride flag, the global symbol of the LGBTQ community.

But actions taken by LGBTQ activistshave often backfired. At a pro-Palestine rally in London, a transgender LGBTQ activist waved a rainbow flag — only to be attacked by fellow demonstrators, who tore the flag down and threw it to the ground.

And last year, anti-Israel protesters even disrupted a Pride parade in Philadelphia.

One pro-Palestine protester held a Pride flag overwritten with “No Pride in Genocide” and a red handprint while another banner linked a genocide in Sudan with conflicts in Palestine and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to footage.

Another protester held up a sign reading, “Long Live the Intifada.” The demonstrators also recited pro-Palestine chants, shouting, “PPP, KKK, IOF are all the same,” referring to the Ku Klux Klan and Israel Defense Forces.

The encounter between Pride participants and the protesters ultimately descended into a brawl.
