Shocking Statistics on Migrant Crime
In Germany, Syrians commit a crime every 39 minutes – and in Italy, foreigners account for 60 percent of robberies and thefts, according to shocking new figures.
As V4NA has regularly highlighted, uncontrolled mass migration has brought with it a sharp rise in crime in Western Europe’s immigration countries. Now, new and shocking statistics have emerged from both Germany and Italy.

Foreigners living in Italy are significantly overrepresented in violent and predatory crimes such as robbery and sexual assault. Data from 2024 show that a large proportion of arrests in Italy target foreign suspects: in 34.7 percent of all arrests, the suspects were non-Italian nationals.
When it comes to more serious predatory offences, however, the figures are even higher. Foreigners account for 60.1 percent of suspects in street robberies and 52.3 percent in all robberies. According to new crime data analysed by the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, foreigners are responsible for 61 percent of burglaries and 69 percent of pickpocketing incidents. They are also involved in 43 percent of sexual harassment cases.

This is despite the fact that foreigners make up only a small proportion of Italy’s total population. According to a report by Ismu Ets, as of 1 January 2024, there were 5.3 million foreigners living in Italy – representing 9 percent of the Italian population, compared with 8.2 percent in 2014.
While the overrepresentation of migrants among criminal offenders has been a well-documented trend for years, Germany’s Freilich Magazin has now published staggering figures based on data from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, released in response to a parliamentary inquiry by the right-wing AfD party. According to the data,
Syrians committed a crime in Germany every 39 minutes over the past ten years.
Between 2015 and 2024, 135,668 Germans were recorded as victims of crimes committed by suspected Syrian offenders. The figures also show high victim numbers for suspects from other countries of origin: Afghans committed 82,960 offences against Germans, Iraqis 69,946, Moroccans 39,918, and Algerians 32,383.
According to the Police Crime Statistics (PKS), over the examined period more than 460,000 German victims were recorded in cases involving suspects from the ten main countries of origin – Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and Eritrea.
Police crime data listed in the appendix of the report show that the number of Syrian suspects has been steadily increasing for years. In 2024, the PKS recorded a total of 101,265 offences (excluding immigration-related crimes), up from 94,158 in the previous year. The increase is particularly striking in cases of violent crime, robbery and sexual offences.
In the “violent crime” category alone, there were 12,512 cases involving Syrian suspects in 2024 – the highest figure in the past decade.
In the category of “rape, sexual coercion and severe sexual assault”, the number of cases rose to 648 – more than a 60 percent increase compared with 2020. The number of serious bodily injuries and robberies also climbed: in 2024 there were 9,310 cases of grievous or dangerous bodily harm and 2,402 cases of robbery. This continues a trend that has been observable since 2016.
In its response to the parliamentary inquiry, the federal government admitted that it has no statistical method to allow for the long-term tracking of repeat offenders. The police crime statistics are “annual mass statistics” that only provide snapshots in time. A multi-year analysis, the government said, “is not planned”.
AfD: “The Numbers Do Not Lie”
For Christopher Drossler, AfD MP and initiator of the inquiry, the figures speak for themselves.
“The numbers do not lie. The statistics once again confirm that Germans are primarily the victims of criminal foreigners from Middle Eastern countries,”
– Mr. Drossler told Freilich. “We need a massive deportation campaign focused above all on migrants from the main countries of origin – especially Syria, Afghanistan, Morocco and Iraq. Deportations to these countries must finally be made possible. The federal government must create the necessary conditions for this,” he emphasised.

In her press statement, AfD co-chair Alice Weidel emphasised that the figures “show the government’s failure in migration and security policy.” She stated:
“In Germany, more than half of all women no longer feel safe in public spaces. This alarming statistic is further proof of the government’s failure. Between 2015 and 2024, 135,668 Germans fell victim to crimes committed by suspected Syrian offenders. This development is not just deeply alarming, but also the result of governmental mismanagement and misguided political decisions that have never been rectified.”
Ms. Weidel also directly criticised Chancellor Friedrich Merz, claiming that the governing coalition was unwilling to “honestly identify the root causes of the problem”, instead engaging in “ideological debates about racism.” She added that the victims are “young women and children who are often defenceless against violent attacks”, calling the situation “a total security policy failure of the federal government,” according to the Modernity news portal.
