Soros-Backed Prosecutors’ Soft-on-Crime Agenda Leads to Tragic Murder
In recent years, U.S. financier George Soros has poured vast sums of money into helping prosecutors across America rise to power. But the policies they’ve pursued have had devastating consequences — fueling brutal murders, a surge in crime, and fear among ordinary citizens.
The distraught father of a 22-year-old aspiring teacher, murdered by a “career criminal” while visiting friends at the University of South Carolina, delivered a shocking speech to lawmakers on Monday. Stephen Federico delivered a raw, gut-wrenching address during a congressional hearing in Charlotte aimed at tackling growing concerns over violent crime and repeat offenders — speaking just weeks after the high-profile murder of Ukrainian national Iryna Zarutska.
His daughter, Logan Federico, was fatally shot on 3 May, after 30-year-old “career criminal” Alexander Dickey broke into their home where she was sleeping.
“Think about your child coming home from a night out with friends, lying down, going to sleep, feeling somebody come into the room … and wake them. And drag her out of bed. Naked. Forced on her knees. With her hands over her head. Begging for her life. Begging for her hero. Her father. Me. That couldn’t be there,”
– Federico said, while fighting back tears and anger. However, my daughter is
“dead. Gone. Why? Because Alexander Devonte Dickey — who was arrested 39 Goddamn times, 25 felonies — was on the street,”
– he added. According to the New York Post, Dickey had a long record of break-ins and went on a credit card spending spree after shooting Logan, before being taken into custody. Federico blasted the justice system for its failure to protect not only his daughter but countless others.
“He should have been in jail for over 140 years for all of the crimes he committed. You know how much time he spent in prison? A little over 600 days in 10 years. He’s only 30 years old,”
– Federico said.

The heartbroken father vowed to keep fighting.
“I will fight until my last breath for my daughter. I’m not going to be quiet until somebody helps. Logan deserves to be heard.”
– he said.
The author at the New York Post, Jennifer Harrison, writes that she testified before the same committee in April 2023 — at a hearing made necessary by the disastrous progressive policies of a district attorney financed by George Soros, as well as by the state’s “soft-on-crime” laws. In recent years, it wasn’t only the murder of Logan Federico that drew attention to the lenient law enforcement policies of prosecutors backed by the American speculator George Soros — and of the Democratic politicians allied with them in defiance. Numerous tragic cases have since come to light.
The Suffering of Countless Victims Weighs Heavy on Soros and His Allies
The Heritage Foundation has previously reported on the cases of District Attorneys Matt Dugan and Larry Krasner. As is well known, in the United States, district attorneys are elected to their positions — and George Soros has long been known to generously fund the campaigns of prosecutors aligned with his political goals.
Before he was elected in 2017, Krasner was a career criminal defense attorney who sued the Philadelphia Police Department repeatedly. In his first run for District Attorney, Krasner received $1.7 million from Soros-funded groups — 90% of his campaign cash. For his 2021 re-election campaign, Krasner received a combined $1,259,000 from Soros-funded groups. For his part, Dugan has been a public defender his entire career and was appointed chief public defender in 2020. To date, Dugan has received $734,000 from a Soros-funded PAC, representing 90% of his fundraising.
Crime has exploded under Krasner’s pro-criminal policies. Murders are up 63 percent. Shootings are up 78 percent.
Behind all this lies the fact that prosecutors supported by George Soros have consistently introduced measures ensuring that only light sentences are handed down for certain crimes — such as theft, robbery, drug possession or trafficking, and prostitution. These lenient policies have, quite clearly, emboldened offenders.
The problem is not new. However, upon taking office, President Donald Trump pledged to restore law and order in America’s cities.
