Ukraine is ruthlessly conscripting, even fathers of multiple children are being sent to the front
A "click" in the system and even a father of three children can be taken away to the front. A new verification model is treating those who were previously exempt from conscription without mercy.
The mobilization of large families has also begun in Ukraine; by 2026, having multiple children will no longer guarantee a postponement of mobilization. What was recently considered an almost untouchable status can disappear in a short time once the data is checked in Ukrainian state registries. Data from the Oberig registry, the DRAcS, and the State Debtor Registry will be automatically compared. If the system detects a discrepancy, the status of being a father of three children will practically lose its validity for military registration.
The key term is no longer „father,” but „provider.” Ukrainian mobilization law states that only those men who actually support three or more children are eligible for postponement. If there is a backlog in support payments—even for just one child—the postponement is revoked without further warning. Men whose children come from different marriages are particularly at risk. If they do not live with all their children, they must prove their support: court rulings, proof of payment for support, and debt clearance are required. Without these, there is no postponement.
In the case of non-biological children, the new rule also applies; stepchildren can only receive a postponement from service if the biological father is not present in the child’s life or is unable to support them. Merely being registered in the large family certificate is no longer sufficient, and expired certificates pose a separate problem.
The postponement must be regularly confirmed, especially after the extension of martial law. If the data is not updated in time, the system perceives that the reasons for postponement no longer exist, and the man from a large family can be sent to the front.

Про це в етері КИЇВ24 заявив Дмитро Разумков, народний депутат України, лідер об’єднання „Розумна політика”.

Conscription in Ukraine is ruthless
During the fighting, Ukraine suffers massive military losses, which is why recruitment is ongoing in the country. The age limit and conditions for conscription are constantly changing; the age spectrum is continuously expanding, and the conditions for exemptions from conscription are becoming increasingly narrow.
Recruitment office staff are literally hunting for men in Ukraine. They are taken from the streets, from stores, or even from their homes to training camps, from where they are sent to the front.
Videos frequently appear on social media showing men being abused and violently shoved into cars and vans. The Ukrainian population is increasingly standing up against recruitment officers, protecting the targeted victims from TCC staff.

Dmytro Lubinets, the human rights commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament, recently spoke about the increase in complaints from Ukrainian citizens regarding TCC activities.
The ombudsman also pointed out that in some cases, not only are rights being restricted in recruitment office premises, but signs of criminal activity are also being recorded.
The number of violations has drastically increased. According to Dmytro Lubinets, citizens are more afraid of their own institutions than of the threats coming from Russia.
