Hungary's President receives PM Orban at Presidential Palace
On Monday, Hungarian President Katalin Novak received Prime Minister Orban at Sandor Palace, the president's office and residence. PM Orban informed the head of state about the European Council meeting on 23 March, the communications department of the Sandor Palace told Hungary's state news agency (MTI).
The head of state, who pays particular attention to strengthening Hungary’s European and international relations, was informed by the prime minister about last week’s summit of European heads of state and government, where the war raging in Ukraine was one of the most important items on the agenda, the statement said.
„The head of state and the head of government agreed that creating peace as soon as possible is Hungary’s most important interest,”
the statement read.
They agreed that the prime minister will report regularly on developments at the European Council meetings in the future.
