PM Orban: Hungary stands by Turkey at this tragic moment

Hungarian PM Viktor Orban has sent a letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressing his condolences for the victims of the early morning earthquake and the damage suffered. Mr Orban also offered Hungary's assistance, his press chief said on Monday.

„I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the devastating earthquake that hit southern Turkey, causing significant damage to property and loss of life. I would also like to take this opportunity to reaffirm to you that Hungary stands by Turkey in this tragic moment,” PM Orban wrote.

„On this sad occasion, I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured, while expressing my hope that the Hungarian donation can contribute to the success of the rescue efforts,”

PM Orban wrote, concluding his letter to the Turkish president.
