During a hearing held this week, Joe Biden's previous physician refused to answer a single question about the former U.S. president’s health and cognitive decline —citing his right against self-incrimination in a shocking move before literally fleeing from testifying before Congress. Joe Biden’s true health condition remains shrouded in secrecy.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor is accused of concealing the former U.S. president’s physical and mental decline from the public while the 46th president was in office. According to allegations, O’Connor even refused to disclose his powerful patient’s advanced prostate cancer.

“Dr. O’Connor invoked the Fifth Amendment,” revealed James Comer, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, after the hearing.

O’Connor had already refused to answer questions from the congressional investigative committee a few weeks ago, but this time he appeared at the hearing—yet still disclosed nothing. The congressional committee, formed after President Donald Trump took office, is investigating whether Biden’s inner circle concealed his true health condition during his presidency.

In recent years, it has become clear that Joe Biden’s physical condition has worsened, with signs indicating mental decline as well. Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that Biden was being exploited by his inner circle who used him as an “autopen” for signatures and

who knew full well that Joe Biden had cognitive impairments.

According to Comer, O’Connor, who has long served as Biden’s personal physician, received two key questions during the congressional hearing this week:

• Was he ever asked to lie about the president’s health?
• Did he ever believe that President Biden was unfit to carry out his duties?

In both instances, O’Connor invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

“This is unprecedented, and in my opinion, it further proves there was a cover-up,”

Comer stated.

“By invoking the Fifth Amendment, Dr. O’Connor is effectively confirming that he played a key role in the biggest cover-up in presidential history and that he knew Joe Biden was unfit to serve, and now he’s grasping at anything to protect himself,” said Republican Representative Ronny Jackson, who also served in the Obama administration’s medical unit.

Biden’s Bizarre Behavior—Was It Due to Mental Decline?

Joe Biden’s astonishing blunders had become a regular occurrence in recent years. It has raised serious concerns that the president of the world’s most powerful nation frequently got lost in the garden of the White House, shakes hands with the air, and forgets or mixes up words.

Over the years, several polls had shown that many Americans believed Biden was unfit to serve as president—the most representative measure being the U.S. presidential election itself. Previous surveys by Quinnipiac University and YouGov also indicated that Biden was no longer mentally capable of serving as president. In 2024, a Quinnipiac University poll revealed that:

Only 34% of Americans believed Biden was mentally fit for a second term, while 64% believed he lacked the necessary mental fitness.

Meanwhile, in the YouGov survey, 76% of respondents said Biden was unfit to serve as president due to his mental condition.

Questions abound regarding Joe Biden’s mental state. While recordings testify to his decline, the investigations have so far led nowhere. Most recently, even his own physician invoked a constitutional amendment to avoid testifying.
