This is where Europe stands: migrant crime at its highest
A migrant beheaded his wife in Germany, another migrant assaulted a transgender migrant in a center in the Netherlands, and a murderous migrant was simply set free.
Asmerom G., a 41-year-old Eritrean migrant, is accused of slaughtering his own wife.
The authorities still haven’t found the woman’s head.
However, in 2016, the German media still praised the migrant. The Eritrean man got a job as an electrician’s assistant at a company in Rheinbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, and gave interviews about leaving his home country to escape political persecution. He said he wanted German citizenship. His boss at the time described Asmerom G. as talented, reliable, and capable of anything, writes the German newspaper Bild.

But then reality set in. Within a year, Asmerom G. got into trouble. After a fight, he was convicted of grievous bodily harm and sentenced to six months in prison, suspended. He moved away from Rheinbach and became a truck driver. At some point along the way, for reasons that remain unclear, he returned to his home country and came back to Germany with a 31-year-old woman named Weghata A., whom he married according to Eritrean law. On July 26, 2025, the woman gave birth to their daughter.
Three months later, Weghata A. died, and what happened next made headlines across Germany. On November 17, on Highway 45 near Olpe, a driver said he noticed something on the side of the road. When the police investigated, they found a woman’s two severed hands. Forensic investigators compared the fingerprints with those of Weghata A., who had been reported missing from a refugee shelter in Bonn, where she lived alone with her infant daughter.
Days later, Weghata A.’s torso was found, but her head was still missing.
The baby was found alive and unharmed the previous day, left in a stroller in Hessen, in front of the Kröffelbach monastery in Waldsolm. A monk found the child and two handwritten notes with only her name and date of birth. Although investigators quickly identified Asmerom G. as the prime suspect, the man had already boarded a plane to Ethiopia. He was arrested there at the end of November. In early February, he was extradited to Germany, where he is currently in pre-trial detention.
A murderous migrant was set free
An Italian court prevented the extradition of a Pakistani man accused of murder in Greece, ruling that his transfer would expose him to „inhuman or degrading treatment” in Greek prisons
. This decision allowed the suspect to leave Italy freely despite an active European arrest warrant.
As reported by La Verita, the Florence Court of Appeal ordered the release of the 26-year-old Pakistani citizen, who was arrested in Siena last December after Greek authorities requested his extradition to stand trial for murder and migrant smuggling.
Greek prosecutors allege that the man shot an African migrant in cold blood in the northern region of Kilkis. According to the arrest warrant issued by the Kilkis investigating judge, the victim had paid to be smuggled out of Greece without border controls. When the attempt to leave the country failed, the victim demanded his money back. According to investigators, the suspect tracked down the smuggler in a hotel courtyard and shot him three times.
Despite the seriousness of the charges, the Italian court refused to extradite the man, arguing that prison conditions in Greece could violate the protections guaranteed by European human rights law.
According to the judges, the European arrest warrant cannot be executed if there is a risk that the suspect will face detention conditions that violate Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits inhuman or degrading treatment. During the hearing, the man’s lawyer opposed the extradition, arguing that there was insufficient evidence of guilt and that prison conditions in Greece were incompatible with the protection of fundamental rights. The Florence court asked the Greek authorities to specify where the suspect would be held if extradited. Athens replied that he would probably be held either in Nigrita prison or in a facility in Thessaloniki.
However, the Italian judges stated that the information provided did not sufficiently guarantee acceptable conditions, noting the current overcrowding in the specified prisons.
The ruling also noted that the suspect had been in pre-trial detention in Italy since December and that the legal time limit for such detention was approaching.
As a result, the court ordered his release, while leaving open the theoretical possibility of restarting the extradition proceedings if Greece provided further guarantees regarding prison conditions.

Transgender migrant stabbed by another migrant
A Syrian transgender asylum seeker was stabbed and left unconscious at an asylum seekers’ center in Leiden, the Netherlands, after allegedly being chased for half an hour by another resident armed with a knife.
As reported by Gelderlander, the attack took place last weekend at the asylum seekers’ center in Leiden, where the 24-year-old victim, Danial, was stabbed several times, including in the face.
Danial, described by the LGBT Asylum Support advocacy group as an „extremely vulnerable” transgender asylum seeker, was allegedly chased by another resident with a knife in his hand prior to the attack.
According to Sandro Kortekaas, chair of LGBT Asylum Support, the suspect followed the victim for about 30 minutes before the conflict escalated. Danial allegedly tried to escape into a room where a woman and three small children were staying, but the attacker continued the assault, striking him several times until the transgender migrant first lost consciousness and then left with a bleeding face.
According to the news portal Geenstijl, the perpetrator allegedly assaulted the victim and said things like:
„You dirty faggot, you pig. You’re nothing. I’ll show you something. You’ll pay for this. You’re dirty and unclean.”
Soms dingen in AZC’s die plots wel het daglicht mogen zien. Verkrachten van vrouwen door asielzoekers hoort men niets van. Maar rok+lul mishandelen Ohhh
