Hungary-Slovenia summit to be held in Lendava on Monday

Citing unofficial information from the daily ‘Vecer’ newspaper, Slovenia's STA state news agency reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is scheduled to visit Slovenia on Monday, 21 February. During his visit PM Orban will meet Slovenian PM Janez Jansa in Lendava and is expected to sign a new agreement on economic cooperation and discuss the elections. The news was confirmed by the head of the Hungarian prime minister's press office.

The meeting between the Hungarian and Slovenian prime ministers will take place in Lendava, on the Slovenian side of the border next Monday. PM Viktor Orban and PM Janez Jansa will sign an agreement on a joint fund for the development of Slovenia’s Prekmurje and the Hungarian region of Rabavidek, the Hungarian prime minister’s press chief said, confirming the Slovenian press reports to Hungary’s state news agency (MTI) on Friday.

Mr Orban’s press chief said that after their discussions and the signing ceremony, the two prime ministers will hold a joint press briefing.
