Angry Parents Sue State Authorities
The parents of a schoolgirl in Berlin have filed a lawsuit against state authorities after a rainbow flag was raised at the after-school care centre their daughter attends. Given the developments of recent years, it is perhaps unsurprising that an increasing number of parents are growing weary of the aggressive, child-focused gender lobby.
The parents argue that the use of political symbols is prohibited in state-run education institutions, and they claim that the rainbow flag is part of a “politicised” agenda that is unsuitable for children.
The first court hearing is scheduled for next week, on June 25, and a verdict is expected the same day. A ruling in favor of the parents could have far-reaching legal and political ramifications, The European Conservative news portal reports.
Should the court determine that the Pride flag is indeed a political symbol, it could uproot how LGBTQ-related matters are handled in schools across Germany.
Growing frustration among parents in Western societies is evident as many feel that gender ideology is being forced into schools by radical activists
Earlier, V4NA reported on a case in Austria that sparked outrage among parents after a school handed out educational materials during an open day for 9–10-year-olds. The handout contained explicit content, including a “sexual dictionary” and gender role-playing tasks. The incident caused a national uproar.
In a school in the Melk district of Lower Austria, visiting children were given booklets featuring graphic illustrations of naked people—including a man in a wheelchair and a Black man. It also explained terms like “transsexual,” “intersex,” “drag queen,” and “transgender.” One task instructed students to think through the steps a boy named Leo would have to take to become Jennifer, including avoiding the boys’ bathroom.
“This is absurd for a 9- or 10-year-old,” a father of three told Kronen Zeitung, expressing shock after his daughter brought the booklet home. The origin of the material remains unclear, but several parents claimed the school principal distributed it.
“Children should be allowed to remain children and must not be negatively influenced in their early development by leftist rainbow propaganda,”
reacted Michael Sommer, Austria’s Freedom Party (FPO) education policy spokesperson, insisting the gender lobby should not be forced onto children.
AfD’s Lesbian Co-Chair Takes Stand Against Aggressive LGBTQ Lobby to Protect Children
In Bavaria, Germany’s right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party recently called for a ban on Pride flags (and EU flags) in state institutions, arguing that only national, state, and municipal flags should be displayed. The party claimed this move would affirm national pride and assert that Germans need not be ashamed of their identity.
Unsurprisingly, the proposal sparked an uproar in the Bavarian state parliament. Left-wing and right-wing parties alike fiercely criticized the AfD. The Greens interpreted the move as an attempt to „banish the queer community from public spaces”.
The Christian Social Union (CSU), the center-right ruling party, labeled the proposal a “political attack on diversity, tolerance, and democratic order.”
Earlier this year, AfD co-chair Alice Weidel, who is herself in a same-sex relationship, made a clear distinction between real gay rights and gender ideology promoted by LGBTQ organizations:
“We don’t want representatives of the different genders or drag queens in schools. We don’t want our children confused by gender issues. … Simply because of my own personal orientation, I do not support gender, woke or green policies that are harmful to society.”
