NGOs Block Vienna Migration Conference

While migration continues to ruin Europe, left-wing NGO activists blocked the entrance to the Vienna Migration Conference, staging a sit-in protest complete with border fences and passport controls. They were demonstrating against the deportation of a convicted rapist to Afghanistan.

Shortly before the start of the conference, the entrance of the Palais Niederosterreich turned into a scene of protest. Dozens of activists blocked access to the building, chanting slogans, erecting symbolic border barriers, and staging mock passport inspections. In the end, participants had to enter the conference venue through a side door.

Julia Fuchs of the organization No Border Summit said in a statement that they opposed all deportations and forced returns.

Meanwhile, Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (OVP) sharply criticized the European Convention on Human Rights, arguing that

„it offers more protection to criminal migrants than to local citizens.”

In his address, Gerhard Karner reaffirmed Austria’s migration policy: deportations, even to countries such as Syria or Afghanistan, must continue consistently.

„Reducing illegal migration to zero is the top priority,”

he emphasized. Karner also called for amendments to the European Human Rights Convention: „Sometimes it seems that the convention protects criminal migrants more than the citizens of the host countries.”

Swedish Interior Minister Johan Forssell described the current situation as a „paradigm shift” in Europe’s migration policy and praised Austria’s leading role in returning migrants to Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Sweden itself is struggling as a consequence of its failed migration policy. Once seen as the model of a prosperous welfare state, Sweden has become a warning example.

Today, foreign-born residents make up about 20 percent of the population.

Authorities are overwhelmed by rising crime, economic insecurity, and a deteriorating education system.

Sweden now has the highest rate of gang-related murders in Europe. The average age of perpetrators of serious crimes is the lowest on the continent, with even teenagers arrested for murder. Increasing portions of suburban areas are officially classified as “particularly dangerous zones,” where, according to police, working conditions are “difficult, bordering on impossible.” In plain terms, these are no-go zones, where local criminal clans rule and where first responders will not enter without bulletproof vests and police escort, as noted by Gisreport online.

Sweden has thus transformed from a model of inspiration into a warning. As gang wars spill across borders, neighbouring Scandinavian countries are increasingly worried about ending up in what Danes already call „Swedish conditions.”
