Wife of Ukraine's president poses for Vogue magazine and asks for weapons
Volodymyr Zelensky's wife posed for a photoshoot while demanding weapons for her country. Some preliminary photos are featured of Ukraine's first lady on the prestigious fashion magazine's Instagram page.
The wife of Ukraine’s president modelled for one of the world’s best-known fashion magazines. While Volodymyr Zelensky engages in negotiations to demand more weapons for the war against Russia, his wife turns on her charm to help him achieve that goal. A video taken of the preparations for the shoot has been published on Instagram, featuring Olena Zelenska wearing immaculate make-up as she was posing for the cameras.

Vogue magazine also shared some photos of Zelensky’s wife on Instagram. There is one featuring her, with perfectly made-up face, standing in front of war wreckage with armed soldiers in the background.

“I’m asking for something I would never want to ask for: I am asking for weapons—weapons that would not be used to wage a war on somebody else’s land but to protect one’s home and the right to wake up alive in that home,” Vogue’s Instagram cites the Ukrainian first lady. The magazine notes that Olena has become her husband Volodymyr Zelensky’s most trusted diplomat, and often demands arms from Western countries as an envoy for her country.
The Ukrainian president also gave an interview to the fashion magazine. He described his wife as a „true patriot” who had the deepest feelings for her country, adding that she was also a great mother.
This is not the first time Olena Zelenska has been in the spotlight in recent weeks. She recently travelled to Washington on an unannounced visit to meet US President Joe Biden, First Lady Dr Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. She said she was speaking as a mother and a daughter, not just as the wife of Ukraine’s president.
