Women in Western Europe Live in Fear
A woman is raped nearly every two hours in Spain, while in Italy, sixty percent of women are afraid of going out at night. Migrants are overrepresented among perpetrators of sexual crimes — although many governments refuse to acknowledge this. Recently, a man told a woman during an attack, “I’ve wanted to f*ck a white woman for a long time.”
Last week authorities arreted a 40-year-old man in the French city of Amiens after a series of violent assaults against women, during which he reportedly said to one of his victims,
“I’ve wanted to f*ck a white woman for a long time.”
The suspect, who has a history of rape and sexual assault convictions, is now under investigation for attempted rape with a weapon, attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault, and aggravated violence, according to a piece published by RMX News.
As reported by France Bleu, the attacks took place between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Tuesday in the Saint-Honoré district of the French city. According to Amiens deputy prosecutor Véronique Parent, the man first confronted a woman around 8:30 a.m., pressing a kitchen knife into her back and threatening her by saying, “Follow me or I’ll kill you.” He then led her to a more secluded area where he made the sexually charged comment about White women. The assault was interrupted when a witness intervened, prompting the man to flee. Minutes later, he targeted another woman, stabbing her between four and six times, according to investigators, before escaping again. That victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized. Police arrested the suspect shortly after the second assault, finding him heavily intoxicated and fleeing on a scooter. During the investigation, authorities identified two additional victims attacked earlier that morning. In one case, the man threatened a woman with a knife and ordered her to follow him, but she managed to escape. In another, he groped a woman as she was placing her child into a car seat.
A Woman Is Raped Nearly Every Two Hours
Spain has seen an alarming rise in sexual violence over recent years. According to new, official statistics released by the country’s interior ministry, this culminated in a record-high number of rapes – fully, 5,206 incidents – in 2024,
which translates into an average of 14 rapes per day across the country.
the figure nearly triples the 1,878 cases reported in 2019 when five daily incidents were reported. The upward trend has remained consistent year-over-year since 2018, aside from a brief dip during 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, writes the Modernity news site.
Regional breakdowns show that communities like Catalonia, Madrid, and Andalusia report the highest numbers, although increases have been noted throughout all regions of Spain. Cases involving minors, nightlife-related assaults, and attacks perpetrated by groups of offenders are also on the rise. The grim reality presented by these numbers translates to
a woman being raped every hour and 45 minutes in Spain.
Remix News reported in November last year on a La Rázon report that revealed 91 percent of those convicted of rape in Catalonia are foreigners, with immigrants comprising just 17 percent of the region’s total population.
As highlighted by El Español, the rapid increase in sexual violence has overwhelmed specialized police units such as the Family and Women’s Care Units (UFAM) of the National Police and the Women-Minor Teams (EMUME) of the Civil Guard, both reporting understaffing and resource constraints. Officers within these units indicate that they are working beyond capacity, often handling a significantly higher workload than a decade ago without adequate support, training, or compensation.
Government officials partly attribute this increase to more women coming forward to report incidents, without referencing the dramatic rise in mass immigration to Spain over the past decade. Elena Ramallo, a Spanish activist fighting violence against women, criticized El Español’s report on social media for omitting an obvious factor.
“The entire article contains not a single reference to the identity of the aggressors,”
– she wrote.
Ni una sola referencia en todo el artículo a la identidad de los agresores.https://t.co/RX3tkFZ4Uc

Police unions, however, have identified multiple contributing factors to this trend, including what they describe as “the influence of cultures that devalue women,” a deteriorating social value system, and the increasing violence perpetrated by youth gangs.
Women Fear Going Out Alone at Night
In Italy, crime rates have grown to such an extent that around seven in ten women in the country now report that they are afraid to walk outside alone at night. A Univ-Censis survey of 1,000 Italian adults shows that 67.3 percent of women feel unsafe when walking home at night, according to Bretibart.
Among Italians, there is a widespread perception that their country has become more dangerous over the past five years: 75.8 percent agree with this statement, rising to 81.8 percent among women.
Nearly four in ten respondents indicated that they avoid going out at night altogether due to fear of becoming victims of crime.
In 2024, a total of 2,388,716 crimes were reported across Italy, marking a 2 percent increase compared to 2023, and a 3.8 percent rise compared to 2019. Crimes specifically targeting women have increased even more significantly, particularly sexual assaults, which rose by 34.9 percent, with 6,587 cases reported last year.
Secondo l’ultimo rapporto Univ-Censis quasi 7 donne su 10 (il 67,3%) hanno paura quando devono rientrare in casa. In più, sono aumentati i casi di violenza sessuale, rapine e borseggi.

The survey also revealed that a quarter of women (25.6 percent) reported experiencing sexual harassment, 23.1 percent said they had been robbed, and 29.5 percent stated they had been followed by strangers.
In 2023, foreigners committed a disproportionately high 43 percent of all sexual assaults, despite comprising only about 8 percent of the population.
Regarding the link between mass migration and sexual crimes, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, known for her stance against mass migration, stated last year:
“Now they will label me a racist, but there is a significant factor, unfortunately, concerning cases of sexual violence: the perpetrators are immigrants, illegal migrants.”
The disproportionate rate of sexual offenses committed by migrants has also been observed in other European countries, including the United Kingdom. According to a report based on police data from England and Wales, in the previous year, over 9,000 foreign nationals were arrested on suspicion of rape or other sexual offenses. This accounted for one in five sexual offenses in the country, even though migrants make up only about 16.8 percent of the population.
