Hans-Georg Maassen, the former president of Germany's Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, has sharply criticised Europe's migration policy and warned of the dangers of excessive immigration. He said Europe was on course to succumbing to another culture. In fact, according to a study, the majority of Europe's population will be Muslim by 2200.

„A completely different culture is coming towards us. We are not at all prepared for this, as we’re incapable of resolving conflicts even by means of violence, like family clans do, from the Arab states. These people resolve conflicts by violence, whereas people in Central Europe think that this can only be done through the courts,” Hans-Georg Maassen told the Austrian Express newspaper. The former head of Germany’s intelligence service pointed out that immigration is causing a clash of cultures in Europe.

„The Europeans will give in because, on the one hand, they are unable to even see this conflict coming, and on the other because they incapable of resolving conflicts in a similar fashion,” he said, adding that

the result will be the gradual destruction of our European cultures.

This is already visible, especially in the big cities, as the fundamental problem in Europe is „the loss of values”, Mr Maassen said. He added that

„we don’t know where we want to go. What should Germany or Austria look like in 2030? We are living in the moment, and therefore we are losing out to others who have a religion or ideology, who know where they want to go. We lack a mission.”

He also pointed out that migrants, whom we sometimes looked down on because they come from less developed countries, do have this sense of mission in them.

In fact, according to population projections, Muslims are expected to make up three-quarters of the population in countries such as France, Sweden and Spain by 2160-2170, some four to five generations from now. Citing the PSU Research Review‘s 2019 projections, the Norwegian Document news portal reported that show Western Europe will be largely Muslim by the year 2200.

In France, Britain, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Ireland and Lithuania, more than three-quarters of the population will be Muslim. In Norway, the Netherlands and Germany this proportion will be slightly lower, but still around 50 percent.
