Starting Wednesday (9 June), Slovak and Hungarian citizens who have been vaccinated against coronavirus are free to travel between the two countries, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced on social media.

As Mr Szijjarto wrote, many negotiations transpired with his Slovak counterpart in the past weeks, to allow vaccinated citizens to travel freely between the two countries as soon as possible, to „let families, friends, and communities meet again.”

„…our efforts have been rewarded, Slovakia has officially indicated that they agree with our proposal, meaning that starting tomorrow inoculated citizens of Slovakia and Hungary will be free to travel between the two countries,” the minister said in his post.
