Hungarian government responds to stunt of left-wing politicians
“Momentum party’s action today is a desperate attempt by politicians in a hopeless situation, who can find know other way of drawing attention to themselves. Next to the building housing the Prime Minister’s Office is a construction area, where everyone must follow the rules until the construction is finished,” the Hungarian Government Information Center responded in a statement following the action of left-liberal politicians and activists on Wednesday morning.
The micro-party called Momentum – also considered the “youth wing” of the fallen leftist Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany – have once again dismantled the security barrier set up around the construction area near the Prime Minister’s Office, and then sat on its elements. The campaign was not entirely successful, as they did not arrive in time to disrupt the usual Wednesday morning deputy-ministerial meeting.
