The international credit rating agency affirmed Hungary s Baa3 sovereign ratings and changed the outlook on the ratings to positive from stable.

According to the finance minister, this assessment means the recognition of the Hungarian economic policy. In the view of Moody s, due to its performance in recent years, Hungary has been more resilient than other European states, and believes that its economy may continue to grow once the pandemic is over.

The favourable assessment is maintained by other institutions as well, in addition to Moody s, every major credit rating agency recommends Hungary for investments, Mr Varga emphasized. He added that this recognition is very much needed, as any investment coming to the country is an important piece in the fight against the crisis.
