A diaper fetishist has left bizarre messages at a childcare centre and stolen some nappies. Apparently, some adults are willing to pay for having their nappies changed and being treated like babies.

The Sheriff’s office in Monroe county, New York, announced that they arrested 65-year-old Daniel Seeler on 18 February, soon after he allegedly broke into a learning and childcare centre.

The director of the centre told officials that the incidents began when an employee found 120 dollars and a note, allegedly from Mr Seeler. On the note, the fetishist asked if the day care had any adult-sized diapers and if they would play along with him. Day care staff found 200 dollars and a similar note the following week. The director also found some money and another note, and discovered that someone had rifled through the diaper bin. The director said the note included sizes for pants, shoes, bras and dresses, with the man indicating he liked to play as a baby girl and called himself ‘Baby Danielle’.

After the first incident, the director had a surveillance camera installed and notified law enforcement. The camera soon recorded suspicious things.

The footage showed Mr Seeler playing with diapers and piecing them together to make a bigger one. Next, he went into the bathroom, pulled his pants down, put the diaper on and then put his pants over it before running out of the building, according to the report. Staff later discovered that someone drank half a a bottle of formula, used a bib and stole three diapers.

Mr Seeler, who admitted to breaking into the day care, is facing charges of burglary and petty theft.

Tony D’Agostino, the day care’s owner, said „Seeler was not known to staff members. D’Agostino said the daycare is cooperating with the investigation and is focused on the children’s safety. He said the center has made changes to increase security, including door locks,” the report states.

The police report and the information above suggest that the diaper thief is a fetishist, a member of the so-called ABDL (Adult Baby Diaper Lover) group, meaning he enjoys being diapered and treated like a baby.

The internet reveals a whole industry has been built on such fetishes, with several books written about the subject, showing in comic book format how one member of a gay couple is transformed from a young man into a ‘baby’.

Even the covers of the books depict one of the adult couples as babies.

Apparently, many are willing to pay to be treated as babies for a few hours.

In Britain, there is such a thing as a „baby brothel,” where adults are charged to pretend they are babies. Nursery Thymes customers pay around 350 pounds for a 12-hour stay, during which they can spend a night in oversized cots. Customers have to pay 75 pounds per hour to play with toys, nap in adult-sized cots and wear nappies. There is a 25-pound surcharge for changing nappies, which can even be dirty. „Adult babies” can play with soft toys and colourful building blocks, watch TV in nappies or eat in special-sized highchairs.

Nursery Thymes is run by so-called adult baby Derek Ventham and his wife ‘Mummy Maxine’, who charge grown adults to regress back to an infant-like state in which they wear nappies, have books read to them and even experience a ‘nappy change’. Maxine said: ‘It’s not portrayed very well normally. We want to get the message out that we are not freaks and perverts and it is just an alternative lifestyle that we really enjoy. That’s it. We have people coming from cold countries and hot countries and all over the UK.”

Maxine insisted that many „adult babies” have discovered their new passion after a difficult childhood, like her husband, Derek.
