Parental rights advocates and far-left LGBTQ activists clashed in Los Angeles this week as the former protested against policies of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), which many claim has served to indoctrinate children on an LGBTQ agenda.

Footage posted to social media shows that LGBTQ activists also clashed with police, The Post Millennial reported.

Police arrested at least one LGBTQ activist.

Demonstrators protesting against the spread of gender ideology in schools marched with signs reading ‘leave our kids alone’. The event was organised by a group called Leave Our Kids Alone, which stands against the indoctrination and sexualisation of children at school, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Policies backed by the group include one that mandates schools to notify parents if they have a child faced with confusion surrounding his/her gender.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta stands in strong opposition to this idea of informing parents about their child’s mental status surrounding gender; he notably declared earlier this month that he is initiating a civil rights investigation against one school district, as it approved a parental-notification requirement earlier this year.

The Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Office declared the event an unlawful assembly and ordered people to clear out. This protest and subsequent conflict came after the LASUD Board of Education unanimously greenlighted a resolution in June that advocates for schools in the district to feature lessons on the LGBTQ+ community in the curriculum.

As V4NA has reported several times, a growing number of parents and students speak out against the spread of gender ideology in schools. In Canada, for example, Muslim and Christian parents recently joined forces to protest against LGBTQ classes.

“When I came here 22 years ago, the Christians were the majority, and I was a Muslim,” said an Egyptian immigrant parent during a demonstration. She highlighted that at the time

they did not force the agenda to teach my kid Christianity. They respected my identity, even though they were the majority. Now, less than one percent of the population force their agenda on every single one of us,”

she added.
