PM Orban congratulates new British prime minister
Prime Minister Viktor Orban sent a letter of congratulations to new British Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday, the Hungarian premier's press chief Bertalan Havasi told the press.
Hungary’s relations with the United Kingdom have traditionally been based on solid foundations, and are characterised by mutual respect, common interests and common goals, Mr Orban wrote in the letter. He underlined that the current challenges make international partnerships more important than ever, and therefore, the Hungarian government is committed to further strengthening cooperation with the UK. Hungary will remain a loyal ally of the United Kingdom, the PM concluded.
