Poles unwilling to accept migrant quotas – video

A video campaign is being launched in Poland, to draw attention to the fact that the left-liberal leadership of the European Union wants to force nations to accept a certain number of immigrants or otherwise pay large sums of money into the EU coffers.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki once again expressed his objections to the mandatory relocations imposed by the European Union’s New Migration and Asylum Pact, this time in a video. „The government headed by the Law and Justice party (PiS) says STOP to the mandatory relocation of illegal immigrants,” the PM says in the recording, which he shared on Twitter. He added that

now the EU is trying to force Poland to take in immigrants arriving from other continents or foot the bill for their care and accommodation at €22,000 per person per year. „But why should we be held responsible for the mistakes made by rich European Union countries? Solidarity cannot work unilaterally. We will never submit to such conditions. We are not willing to jeopardize the safety of Poles because of the glaring mistakes of some European capitals,”

Morawiecki said.

The Polish authorities have long been warning about the disastrous consequences of the European Union’s immigration policy. The video continues in the same vein, with the narrator stating: „We are committed to protecting the interests of our country and we strive to build real solidarity in Europe, not a coercive solidarity.”

„This is a mockery of Poland, it’s discrimination, and it’s extremely disrespectful! That is why we will not agree, and neither will the Polish nation. A referendum must be called.”

Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of the Polish ruling Law and Justice party, said this in the Polish parliament after the resolution proposal was adopted. In it, the parliament authorizes the government to exercise its right of veto at the upcoming EU summit, when the heads of member states discuss the quotas. Poland’s Left-wing parties voted against proposal in the Sejm, that is, they support the mandatory resettlement of migrants to European countries.

First of all, the EU’s decision undermines the sovereignty of Poland and other European countries. This is the most important issue in the debate determining the future of the European Union, it also determines our future and our decisions, said Mr Kaczynski.
