Drive-thru testing sites are popping up all across Europe as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Samples required for the PCR tests are taken in a way that passengers do not have to exit the car.

The method has been further improved in the UK, where people can use self-swabbing kits to take nose and throat samples, without a public health attendent.

The Department of Health and Social Care has even published an educational video, explaining the usage of self-test kits.

Many have already tried the new testing kit at the drive-thru sites, sticking the swabs in their own mouths or noses.

The method has also become popular in the US. In this video recorded in Renton, Washingon, those who hand the testing kits into the cars were not exactly keen on defence. They only had masks, plastic face shields and rubber gloves.
