When a small group of people showed up at a high school in Lyon, France, they came to attack a female Muslim student for dating a non-Muslim boy. School security managed to prevent any altercation but, according to Actu Lyon, the girl s family has also received threats.
The two teenagers families have nothing against the feelings of the young ones, which is „obviously hard to tolerate for a lot of Islamist gangsters,” said Laurent Wauquiez, president of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region.

Il est plus que jamais nécessaire de sécuriser nos lycées pour protéger nos enfants et empêcher de telles expéditions punitives. pic.twitter.com/tT814sr8b6— Laurent Wauquiez (@laurentwauquiez) June 3, 2021
He described the incident as extremely serious. He said it was clear that this was an intimidating manoeuver on the part of a smaller group, whose aim was to force their own Islamist perceptions on society. As President Mr Wauquiez put it, action has to be taken against them and it must be made clear that „there is no place for them here.”
According to information obtained by Actu Lyon, the girl has filed a complaint with police and has been transferred to a safe location.
