Serious Consequences of Hosting Illegal Migrants in Spain
Two Moroccan immigrants sexually assaulted a young woman in Jerez's Plaza de San Andrés. This brutal crime is not an isolated incident.
According to reports confirmed by authorities, the victim was approached in the square and groped by the two Moroccan-born immigrants. At least one of the alleged perpetrators has been arrested following the incident.
Noelia Campos, the provincial leader of the VOX party, interpreted the case as part of a growing sense of insecurity in the region, referencing recent incidents in Cádiz province. She mentioned another case in Jerez where a young girl was verbally abused and harassed on the street, as well as an incident in Algeciras where a minor was sexually assaulted in a park during daylight hours.

Campos described the events as „unacceptable” and asserted that this is not an isolated case. In her statement, she warned about the situation in certain urban areas, comparing them to neighborhoods in other Spanish cities where, in her view, there are issues related to coexistence and safety, as reported by La Gaceta.
VOX directly attributed the current situation to existing immigration policies. The politician claimed that both the People’s Party and the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party are responsible for implementing measures that have contributed to the rise in insecurity.

The party reiterated its immigration-related proposals, supporting measures such as the deportation of foreigners in illegal situations or those who commit crimes, linking these initiatives to the upcoming Andalusian elections.
