Islamists murder over 160 Christians on Christmas Day
While those slayed were mainly women and children, the German media would only talk about armed gangs and conflicts exacerbated by the climate crisis.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Islamists attacked several Christian villages in Nigeria, killing more than 100 people. The attacks were well coordinated. The criminals attacked no fewer than 20 different communities,” said the acting chairman of Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area.
Law enforcement officers found 113 dead bodies and more than 300 wounded. Observers and local authorities now believe that more than 160 people were killed.

Did international media make it front page news? Was there a “Million-Man March“ in London?
Mass-burials of the victims are starting.

Pictures and videos circulating on the internet show churches covered in blood and houses set ablaze. Most of the victims are women and children. Villagers claim the massacres were carried out by Muslim cattle herders.
In the multi-ethnic West African country, Muslim herdsmen and jihadist terrorist organisations, such as Boko Haram, are known for having carried out several brutal attacks. According to the German newspaper Bild, more than 10,000 people have been killed in recent years.
The German news portal Junge Freiheit points out that the German press has not covered this massacre extensively enough, and it also failed to name those responsible specifically. The Tagesschau news portal, for example, only mentioned armed gangs on its website, while Zeit Online only reported on the brutal massacre in the context of conflicts „exacerbated by the climate crisis.” ZDF’s coverage of the story also drew on similar insights.
