Orban-Jansa meeting: Vaccines save lives

On Thursday evening, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his Slovenian counterpart Janez Jansa exchanged views on the two countries pandemic response and the indispensable role of vaccination at their meeting in Porto, where they will both attend the EU s Social Summit starting on Friday.

They agreed that it was only thanks to vaccination that a third surge in the epidemic has been curbed. In Hungary, vaccines are widely available now, PM Orban pointed out, adding that as a result, reopening could be continued and holders of vaccination certificates can restart using certain services.

The prime ministers warned that the pandemic was not over yet, stressing that Hungarians and Slovenes must take responsibility for themselves and others. Everyone who has not been vaccinated yet should get a jab, Viktor Orban and Janez Jansa emphasized.
