The long-standing President of the European Commission should not have been given a top post again, following her scandals.

It is inconceivable that Ursula von der Leyen was re-elected President of the European Commission after a court ruling that she had broken EU law,” Petra Steger, an MEP from the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ), told AfD’s Alexander Helmuth during a recent discussion.

„She unlawfully withheld information regarding the vaccine scandal, which has been confirmed by a recent court ruling. This is not a minor issue; it’s a €35 billion contract. Von der Leyen personally negotiated this agreement with Pfizer through text messages, and when an investigation was launched, those messages were mysteriously deleted. The EU prosecutor’s office has been investigating for some time, but unfortunately, with little progress,”

– Ms. Steger said, agreeing with Alexander Helmuth. They also recalled that Ms. von der Leyen has been at odds with democratic principles for years, most recently by boycotting the Hungarian presidency.

„This behaviour reveals her true colours. Consider the sanctions being imposed on member states that support the EU’s core mission of promoting peace. How can anyone still claim that the EU is a model of democracy that defends democratic values?”

– Mr. Helmuth asked. He further warned that the European Commission’s pro-war stance poses a significant threat, as it could lead to soldiers from EU member states, including Austria and Germany, being deployed against Russia.
