Trainer, businessman, sound engineer lose their jobs due to coronavirus

Some prepare to be out of work for half a year, a restaurant manager has lost her dream job due to the pandemic, as there were no guests. Supermarkets, on the other hand, would hire a lot of people, and a female student was called at night, a few hours after she submitted her application, and told to start next day.

A 38-year-old light and sound engineer told the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung that he would be unemployed till mid-May, but he was not sure whether he would have any job this summer, whether festivals would be held or not. Meanwhile, he tries to help his neighbours and takes care of their five-year-old son while his wife is working. Only in March, he reportedly suffered a loss of 4,000 euros.

A gym owner told the newspaper that they had been making workout videos since the closure of the facility, so that their guests can exercise at home. However, he expects a 5,000 euro loss this month.

A young hairdresser s phone is constantly ringing, as her elderly guests keep cancelling their appointments. On the other hand, setting aside the risks of the epidemic, some young guests still want to make an appointment, however, the hairdresser is worried about her elderly, diabetic father.

A 28-year-old woman told the BBC that she was forced to move back to her parents place after being fired from her dream job, working as a restaurant and bar manager. A 23-year-old man is not this lucky. He was fired from a restaurant supply company because of the pandemic, but now he does not know how he will survive the next few months.

A 58-year-old consultant expects to be out of work for six months.

However, a 24-year-old female student said she had applied for a supermarket job at 7pm on Friday evening, and was called at 10pm that evening to start next day.

Finally, a chef in Budapest contacted his local chamber, because his employer reduced his 1,600 euro salary to 200 euros due to the very few orders. However, from this amount he and his family cannot make a living.
