European left makes a fool of its own mouthpieces
The practice of churning out fake news Bolshevik style isn t exactly uncharted waters for the left, and Brussels left wing has proved to be a worthy heir to the Soviets in this regard. In recent weeks they have deceived their own ill-prepared journalists with a number of falsehoods, spreading lies in the morning, in the evening, and at night...
Backed by funding from Brussels, Brusselite leftists have recently made a fictitious video in Hungary to discredit the Hungarian government. The (fake) video compiled by Brussels left wing was designed to present the „serious” state of Hungary s healthcare system. However, the Socialists weapon has backfired when it turned out that the woman featured in the video as a paramedic nurse was unable to prove either her medical qualifications, or that she was employed by the Hungarian National Ambulance Service (OMSz). She was in fact caught lying and it also swiftly became clear that the bogus video had been produced by one of MEP Istvan Ujhelyi s staff members.

The Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) has since removed the embarrassing video from its social media and, in an apparent bid to save face, the Socialist MEP took to Facebook to provide an explanation, saying his party associate who made the video had „only provided technical assistance in his spare time.”
This, of course, raises the suspicion of illicit party financing. The European Parliament s regulations stipulate that financial support received from Brussels may only be used for tasks directly related to the MEPs work in the European Parliament, and not for party purposes. MEPs from Fidesz, Hungar s largest governing party, have filed a complaint with the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) on suspicion of illicit party financing.
The leftist, liberal leaning press has stepped on a landmine
The Socialists propaganda video was taken over by almost the entire liberal press in Hungary without any research or background checks, in the hope that it helps to portray the Hungarian government s anti-coronavirus measures in a bad light. A few days later, however, the media outlets had to realise that they had been deceived by MSZP.
The way they fool their ill-prepared mouthpieces
This, however, is not the first case that the European left has fooled their own ill-prepared journalists. In April, both CNN and the BBC have recorded some heavily biased interviews with Hungarian politicians. CNN host Christiane Amanpour questioned Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, while Stephen Sackur, the host of BBC s Hard Talk programme, grilled Hungary s state secretary for international communications Zoltan Kovacs about the Orban government s coronavirus measures and related issues. Both interviews revolved around the government s special emergency powers and the lack of parliamentary democracy. Ms Amanpour was apparently caught by surprise when she learned on her show that the Hungarian parliament was sitting even during the lockdown, and the work of opposition members was not restricted in any way. Mr Sackur also found it difficult to accept that, despite his determined efforts, he failed to embarrass the Hungarian state secretary who provided calm and factual answers.
Fake news, the Socialists tried and tested weapon
The practice of falsifying history and churning out fake news is not unfamiliar territory to the Socialists or their intellectual predecessors, the Communists. Early photos portraying Stalin, the infamous Communist dictator, have been regularly redacted by censors who constantly removed the images of comrades who had turned into the dictator s political opponents (and then victims), and thus they had to vanish from real life, as well as from the images. The practice of lies was continued by the successors of the Bolshevik left wing. Ferenc Gyurcsany, former head of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP), admitted in 2006 that during his time in office as prime minister, he was operating a „lie factory”, instead of governing. „We lied in the morning, we lied in the evening, and we lied at night,” he said at a private party meeting. He also acknowledged that, in the so-called Convergence Programme, he had submitted false data to Brussels, but Brussels left wing was generous enough to let the incident slide.
