Shocking poll: One in four Democrats think US would be better off had Trump been killed
More than a quarter of Democrats believe that the United states would be better off if the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump had succeeded, a recent poll suggests.
The online survey by the Napolitan News Service, asking 1,000 registered voters, contained the following question: „while it is always difficult to wish ill of another human being, would America be better off if Donald Trump had been killed last weekend?”
Only 69 percent of respondents said „no,” 17 percent answered „yes”, and 14 percent said they were „not sure”, according to the Modernity news site.
The poll found that 92 percent of Republicans agree that the country would be in a worse shape if Trump had been murdered, begging the question of why does 8 percent of Republicans think otherwise? But what is even more shocking is the fact that
a whopping 28 percent of Democrats, more than one in four, answered that Trump being killed would have helped the country.
Another quarter of respondents said they were not sure.
The poll also found that 82 percent of Democrats believe Trump is a “major threat to democracy,” with just 8 percent signalling disagreement.
Commenting n the survey, Scott Rasmussen – president of RMG Research – underlined that
“It is hard to imagine a greater threat to democracy than expressing a desire to have your political opponent murdered.”
