In a German town, a container village for migrants is being constructed on a site originally intended for a crèche, sparking significant outrage from locals. Residents of Kirchheim in Upper Bavaria took to the streets over the weekend to protest against the migrant camp, which will feature 32 two-storey containers to house 192 migrants. The accommodation is set to be available from mid-October and will be situated in the direct proximity of the backyards of local terraced houses.

„Nobody wants a facility like this in front of their house. We are all afraid of stabbers,”

Reinhard Bauer, a concerned local resident, told the media. Although regional politicians have assured that the facility will house only Ukrainian refugee families until the end of 2026, locals say there is no guarantee that the container village will not be occupied by violent Muslim migrants. Recently, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz signed migration agreements with Kenya and Uzbekistan, with the German government preparing to take in hundreds of thousands of migrants.
