Western Europe: a new battleground for Middle East conflicts
Anti-Semitism is spreading like a virus in Germany.
During the first nine months of this year, authorities in Germany recorded 3,931 criminal offences nationwide in connection with the Middle Eastern war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist militia. Approximately 72 percent of these were classified as politically motivated crimes under the category of “foreign ideology,” while around 10 percent were linked to “religious ideology.”
The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) defines the category of “foreign ideology” as one encompassing non-religious ideologies that originate from abroad, including separatist, right-wing, and left-wing ideologies.
Among the suspects linked to crimes associated with the conflict in the Middle East, 1,396 – approximately 35.5 percent – hold German citizenship. The citizenship of 130 suspects is unknown. Other suspects include 83 Syrians, 57 Turks, 46 Americans, 38 Iranians, and 22 Egyptians. In total, suspects represent 77 different nationalities. Of the offences related to the Middle East conflict, 1,536 were classified as anti-Semitic.

According to an article published by the Preussische Allgemeine Zeitung, the lives of Germany’s Jewish community have changed significantly since 2015, when hundreds of thousands of migrants – hailing from regions with a predominantly Islamic culture – arrived in Germany.
„Muslim anti-Semitism poses the greatest threat to Jewish life in Germany. There are relatively fewer violent far-right extremists, but there are Muslim groups who are not afraid to even physically attack Jews wearing kippahs,”
– Jewish activist Malca Goldstein-Wolf told the newspaper.
