Hungary saw lowest energy prices in EU in December
The average price of electricity and natural gas paid by residential consumers in Budapest is the lowest of the EU capitals surveyed, the Hungarian prime minister's political director wrote on his social media.
“Great news to kick off the year: In December, Hungary again had the lowest energy prices in the EU!” Balazs Orban wrote in a post on Twitter.

“The average price of electricity & natural gas paid by residential consumers in Budapest is the lowest among the EU capitals surveyed,” the premier’s political director explained.
“We’ll work to preserve this trend in 2023!” the politician concluded his post.
