Fed up with Brussels' insanity

In recent years, the European Commission, through the Macronists, the socialists and even the European People's Party, has waged a systematic, fierce battle against the conservatives in power in Poland, MEP Nicolas Bay points out.

Brussels is completely unconcerned that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is trampling the rule of law underfoot, while the previous right-wing government faced years of witch-hunt simply because it disagreed with Brussels, said French MEP Nicolas Bay, a politician from the Reconquete party headed by Eric Zemmour.

„Here I am in Warsaw and, as you know, in the last parliamentary elections in October, the conservative right-wing Law and Justice Party – our ally in the European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the European Parliament – remains the leading political force in Poland, but they failed to win an absolute majority. It was Donald Tusk, the candidate backed by Macron and Ursula von der Leyen, who managed to secure a majority in coalition with left-wing and far-left parties,”

the French politician recalled events from last autumn in his video massage. In the footage posted on social media, he highlighted:

„As you know, in recent years, the European Commission, through the Macronists, the socialists and even the European People’s Party, has waged a systematic, fierce battle against the conservatives in power in Poland, constantly accusing them of breaching the rule of law. In reality, as we know, this was just a pretext, because the Polish government pursued policies that did not please Brussels: it refused to admit illegal immigrants, refused to take a share in the resettlement of migrants, rejected the demands of the LGBT community and wanted to create order in the judicial institutions, curbing their past excesses.”

Poland was under communist rule for a long time, and so bad habits from the past and too close links between the political power and the judicial institutions persisted. Well, the conservatives wanted to modernise the system, ensuring democratic control over the organisation of the judiciary and a clear separation of powers, as it exists in many countries. The European Commission has constantly tried to thwart these reforms, despite the fact that the will of the Polish people and the results of public opinion polls bolstered these efforts,” Bay noted, adding:

„In short, Poland was subjected to constant attacks and financial blackmail. And now that Donald Tusk is in power, we are witnessing something almost unbelievable. Being in power thanks to a rather fragile majority, Tusk is taking advantage of the situation and started a fierce battle and cleansing in the judiciary by sidelining the judges.”

The French MEP also touched on the crackdown by Donald Tusk and his left-wing government in their initial months in office. In addition to the government’s unlawful removal of public media staff, former Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and former Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Wasik, members of the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, sentenced to jail but granted presidential pardons, were arrested at the Polish presidential palace. The arrest of the politicians sparked a huge outcry in Poland, with politicians and many Poles

speaking of the repeated violations of the rule of law, which have become a regular occurrence in the country since Donald Tusk took power.

Meanwhile, Brussels turns a blind eye to the violent political purges of Orwellian times. V4NA has repeatedly contacted the European Commission to seek their opinion on the Polish government’s violations of the rule of law. The cream of the Brussels bubble responded every now and then, but each time they replied that they did not deal with the internal affairs of member states.
