Hungarian PM Viktor Orban spoke on the phone with Naftali Bennett, his Israeli counterpart, Mr Orban's press chief told Hungary's state news agency (MTI).

During their discussion, about which the Israeli PM’s Office has also issued an official statement, Mr Bennett thanked Hungary’s premier for “Hungary’s strong support for Israel in international bodies.”

The parties agreed to continue the bilateral cooperation between the countries in a number of areas, and to maintain continuous contact, the statement reads.
