PM Orban: Virus does not rest, vaccination continues during Easter

Although today is Holy Saturday, the virus does not rest, so those who receive a vaccination call in the coming days days should go and take the jab, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban says in a brief video shared on Saturday.

On Saturday morning, PM Orban discussed the implementation of the vaccination plan with, among others, Interior Minister Sandor Pinter, Cabinet Office Chief Antal Rogan, National Police Chief Janos Balogh and Zoltan Jenei, Director General of the National Directorate of Hospitals, at the interior ministry s duty centre.

In a video posted to social media on Saturday morning, Mr Orban urged Hungarians that those who receive a vaccination call in the coming days should definitely „go and get the jab.” „Every vaccination can save lives,” he added.

PM Orban thanked GPs, as well as doctors and hospital nurses for continuing to administer the vaccine throughout the Easter holiday.

He also stressed that by Saturday morning, the number of vaccinated individuals in Hungary has reached 2,235,000,731. „According to the work plan updated this morning, another 83,000 people will be vaccinated by day s end,” he added.
