Members of the delegation include Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s foreign minister, Balazs Orban, the political director of the prime minister, and Zsolt Nemeth, the president of the foreign committee of the Hungarian Parliament. PM Orban was asked to give an opening speech at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference), one of the world’s largest and most influential conservative political events. The giant gathering, first held in 1974, is hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU). During its history of almost half a century, it has become the ACU’s most popular event rallying tens of thousands of conservatives.

The Hungarian premier travelled overseas not only to attend the conference, but also to hold several bilateral meetings, Bertalan Havasi, the PM’s press chief, told Hungary’s state news agency (MTI)
